Truckford chassis

i have what appears to be a "Truckford" chassis conversion ... a video was posted on the forum several weeks ago that identified this chassis ...EXCEPT that this is a later version than appears in the video ... the Ford chassis has the later front and rear crossmembers and the rear drive is SHAFT instead of chain drive ... the rear axel and spring setup is similar to mid to late 1920's International Harvester trucks i have seen ... there are no vin numbers stamped into frame rail ... i purchased this from Martin supply and salvage for the engine.trans unit about 12 years ago ... the chassis had been in the yard since the early 1950's and was believed to have been a Mountian School Bus ... the body was removed before the chassis was junked ... this is a solid unit that would be a good chassis for a truck or bus build ... this is the only one i have seen , so documentation will probably be difficult or non-existant ...NO TITLE ... price is $200 as pictured or $100 with the front axel and spring removed ...Gene French phone 970-581-2808 address is 49519 cr23 nunn,co. 80648

this chassis is still available ... i will remove front axel and oil pan ... price for the remaining frame rails and rear axel is now $50.00 BUT this must be removed by JULY 31,2023 ... i am cleaning up excess "projects " ... i have a endloader on site and will help load on your trailer ... this is probably about 1500 lb. and is worth more for scrap than the $50 price ...always an optimist ...Gene French 970-581-2808 ... i have had this frame for a long time ... this is the only one like this i have seen ... this is a very well build chassis and is in good re-buildable condition ... i am surprised that no one in this region has stepped up to take this project on ... i have way too much stuff and no interest in a big truck ... always an optimist Gene French

sadly it seems that there is no interest in this Truckford chassis ... i am offering this for FREE ( minus front axel and oil pan ) AND i will help to load this ... looks as though Jason the scrap guy will be getting this chassis and some electrical panels and junk farm equipment ... more materials to go to China ... the new deadline is Aug. 19-20 ... after the swapmeet the scrap iron goes to my neighbor jason ... always an optimist Gene French 970-581-2808

I worked on a Truck with one of these conversions. Got it running and drove it around the yard. It was rated as a TWO ton truck with that conversion. The whole lot was very well made, except the jack shaft between the motor and rear axle. This looked a bit home engineered, and on this one it may well have been.

this chassis is very well built ... i was told that it had been a "Mountain school bus " ... all the fitting of components is well done , items are clean and straight as they should be ... the rear axel is like the type used in the International Harvester trucks of the mid to late 1920"s ... a quality unit , but completly lacking of any body components that would define the original purpose or rating of the vehicle...this could be re-built in a variety of configurations ... a blank canvas so to speak ... hope someone steps up to the plate and takes this unit ...always an optimist ...Gene French
