1994 Buffalo Nickel Tour Jackson, WY

Post by Rich Eagle » Fri Oct 20, 2023 1:02 pm

The current Ken Burns "The American Buffalo'" documentary got me thinking about the VMCCA Buffalo Nickel we helped put on. There were several Ts that participated in it. Here is my 1920 Yellow Speedster and Wayne and Dana Atkinson's 1922 Pie Wagon.

Tour Director Russ Heath had just finished this 1913 Touring.

Robert and Laura Bracket from Twin Falls brought their T Coupe. It had been owned and restored by Kennedy Stewart.

Brian Edgerton had a 1927 Touring that his grandfather bought new. It is pretty much unrestored.

This 1921 Touring was owned by Fred Locke of Gooding, ID.

Beside these Ts was a pretty wonderful 1916 Monroe Roadster. John Tarlton had bought it from a Mr. Warrick who brought it back to life years ago. After He passed, John took Mrs. Warrick on most of the VMCCA Eastern and several Western tours. She was still able to ride in it and appreciated each chance to tour. What a great fellow John was.

Our friend Rich Bingham drove his great 1939 Packard along with his Wife Dawn and their children Jeffery and Marie.

Some of you may know some of these folks. It was a wonderful week of touring with 66 cars in the beautiful Teton area.

Rich,
Looks like a great time. I haven't thought about Russ for a long time. I always looked forward to Russ hauling his trailer to Ogden for the annual Golden Spike car show in July. I spent a lot of money at that little trailer.
Great memories, Thanks again,
Kevin

Thanks Richard. Revisiting tours is the next best thing to being there. Thanks for sharing.
