Need Photos of body area below RR Door on 24 Touring
If someone would be kind enough to post a couple of photos of the exterior of the body below the passenger side rear door on a 23-25 Touring, I would really appreciate it. We are trying to understand if there was a separation between the quarter panel and the door rocker panel. Thank you

Here is that area on my 1925 Touring body. There is a seam, the parts are attached to the wood rail with four round head wood screws. I only have two screws installed on the picture because I can't reach the lower two with the body near the floor of my basement.
I have been told that this area is hidden below the rear fender on a finished car.

I may be mistaken but I think the Tourings from 17-25 have that seam.

It appears as though the seam was intentional as the pieces were stamped originally separately. Was that the method originally used, screwing the pieces together into the wood frame? Interested to see if anyone has any other photos they could post for clarification.

Re: Need Photos of body area below RR Door on 24 Touring
My car saw a lot of farm repairs back in the day.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that screw was one of them...although it does have the exact same screw in the exact same spot on the other side

Mark Strange, could you post a pic of the passenger side of the rear door as well? Thanks

Sure, here it is. I didn't take a picture of the passenger side before because it looks just like a mirror image of the driver's side.
