I'd like to buy a new Ring Gear for the Ruckstell currently under construction.
Does anyone have a 3:25 they'd part with?
3:63 is too low, and 3:1 is too high.
If you have a 3:25 you'd let go, please send me a few pictures at bill.everett@epickett.com, and how much $$ you'd like for it.

For a 3.25 gear ratio, a 12 tooth pinion and 39 tooth ring gear are required.

I believe, as Bob said, you would need the 12 tooth pinion and a recessed ring gear made for the 3:1 high speed gears. Then you would need to add space under the ring gear to raise it to the proper clearance with the 12 tooth pinion. When I did it, I had to add a 1/16 inch, or .0625 shim. Stacking shims increases the chance of sheared ring gear bolts.

I made my shim out of 6061-T6
A stack of steel shims is more likely to move & shear the bolts.

Bill you might use the pencil thing over to the right and add Wanted to the title and remove your name. 
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

If a 3.33 would satisfy your needs, a 12 - 40 should be doable.

A stock ring gear from an 11-40 set wont work with a 12T pinion.
A 12T pinion is a larger diameter than the 11 T, but smaller than a 13T.
This is the reason the ring gear(39 or 40 for a 3-1 set) needs some shimming.
I thought It would be possible To use the stock 40T gear with a 12T pinion in a Rux by machining that aprox. .062" off the carrier(bell) & shortening the ring gear bolts. This would eliminate the danger of a shim & bolts shearing.
This is my plan if I have a shearing failure in my T. So far, so good.
