Shows great detail, even with colorization, of the special build that Harry Jackson did on this Ford chassis. Jackson was a local crafty fellow, who owned businesses in Melrose at the turn of the 1900s, among some were water works, wood works shops, casket making, and even a narrow gage railroad.
This speedster is neat, note the "cowl" over the Ford brass radiator, instead of making a shell to go over it, he made a metal cowl, think it worked too as funnel to direct air into the radiator. Sure is dressed up too. Ready for either racing or impressing the ladies

And this same Mr. Jackson ran a transit business, hauling steamer trunks from Santa Fe Lake landing to local hotels in Melrose.
Am just about finishing up on my recreation of his 'Melrose Transfer' Ford, will be displaying at local historic society functions.
