Free Galloway Truck Body

Post by MapperMike » Wed Apr 17, 2024 8:49 pm

This truck body built to match the Galloway in the collection of the Missouri Museum of Transportation.
Several years ago, I bought a derelict Galloway parts car with hope of restoring it and had the body made.
I’ve since found another complete Galloway and decided to restore my parts car as a display engine, to display with my complete Galloway.
This body should be able to fit on a Model T frame with light modification.
The body will fit 1911, 1912 and 1913 small Galloway, Dart light delivery trucks and 1911 Maytag Model 11 light delivery cars.
The overall length 114” long, the frame rails are about 36” apart, the widest part of the seat is 42 ¼” and the seat space is 36” wide,
The truck bed box is 74” by 42 ½”, the top is 44” wide and 118” long and is unfinished.
The body is built from poplar, and weighs around 300 to 400 lbs.
Rather than just scrapping it, I’d like to offer it to anyone who would like it for their project.
The body is located in Eastern Iowa just come and get it.

Thank you for making it available and paying it forward. I am sure the new owner will make good use of this body. Even, if only for a pattern.
Nice job.
Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?

A bunch of old cars
Sometimes they run.
Sometimes, they don't.
