Have several nice ones that are tested. With or without Ford Script. I'll PM pictures later today. Please realize that Model T ammeters are not precision instruments & if you take into account the scale from 0 to 10.
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Please do! Accuracy isn’t critical to me. The needle disappeared on mine. I just like to know if it’s charging or discharging.

Were the 1919 ones those showing part of the workings at the base of the needle, or will any original ammeter suit your purpose?

Good Question! In my response I wasn't thinking of a year but one that could be used in a rectangular switch plate. I have 3 of the Hoyt meters with the exposed base holding the needle, only one may work but the needle is broken & a surgeon needs to replace it.
Looks like I'm needing to do lots of research now! More than just this.
I believe you are correct that one of the first ammeters were like the one in the upper left but that style even appears in the 1923 parts book as well. So the question is was it the only style in 1919 or were multiple suppliers offering different designs?
