What is Correct Kick Panel Trim…..

…..and how is it applied in this 1926 roadster ? There is no wood to tack to behind the kick panel.

George... There should be a vertical piece of wood just inside the door hinge area to provide a tack surface for that panel.

On our Australian Ford Factory improved cars there is a wooden piece fitted, with cut outs around the hinge bolts. The kick panel is tacked to the wood.

Got it .. Thanks Bob and Allan. I fashioned 2 curved ribs to fit and already had some trim to tack to them. Looks better already :D
