There are three different Warford tranmissions. Aluminum case two speed, aluminum case 3 speed and the cast iron 3 speed that requires a rear cross member and a front u joint. You should probably specify which one you are looking for.

I had a 3 spd cast iron unit that was in great shape, complete with rear frame bracket, shifter, and copy of the original installation instructions for the TT. It went away with my TT (never installed) when I sold it 6 yrs ago.
I'm actually going to see the guy I sold it to this weekend, I'll ask him his intentions and if interested in selling. Will let ya know Sun or Mon. I also had a spare TT torque tube & driveshaft to cut.

Will a Warford for a TT fit a T? I would consider a 3 speed aluminum unit as well as the cast iron unit.

As I understood it from period info, the aluminum case tranny's were built for the auto's, while the cast iron case was built specifically for the TT being a much heavier/stronger unit. I imagine the tranny itself however can be used in a car given there is no difference in how it connects...given the tranny connection and ball joint size is no different.
Whether used in a TT or car, the fitment would be exactly the same needing to shorten the torque tube, cut & remachine the driveshaft and shorten the radius rods.
This is all conjecture on my part, but I can't visualize any connection difference. The only thing unknown to me are the specs between the two, eg, case length, and how that could affect differences in cut lengths. I also do not know if there are differences in gear ratios between alum & iron case trannys. Hopefully others who have installed a cast iron case in a car will chime in.

Hey Jerry, no problem, sorry it didn't work out. But, if you do end up getting a hvy dty Warford 6, I was able to retrieve the original Warford hvy dty 6 (TT) instructions I had (but had passed on to the new owner) that may be of interest to you. I'm gonna reprint it for anyone interested.
See my post were I posted pics of the brochure.

Jerry, I'd like to accomodate you but not sure I'm willing to go through the effort. Probably shouldn't have mentioned my Warford. First thing is relatively easy and that's checking out the condition. It's in storage which is 30 miles away, bridge toll and all, but that aside, I can remove the top and at least tell you what I see. Second part is the problem......shipping that awkward thing. It's heavy, I would probably have to remove the top and maybe have to ship it in a separate box, and I have no idea as to shipping cost without taking it down to a shipper for an estimate, and if shipping is too high then you don't want it, and I've wasted all that time. Unfortunately these days, most of the time I'm way busy and therefore time becomes very valuable. I'm a hobbyist at heart, but there's not enough of me to go around.

*SOLD (pending payment & pickup). No Longer Available*
I’ve got one that has been disassembled, cleaned, checked, and all the parts are usable. It has fair quality gears. It has been partially assembled with all the needed parts included. I’d sell it as it is for $900. I can do the final assembling and adjustments for an additional $300. The shifter isn’t pictured but would be included. I’d have to pick one out and clean it up. Email if you are interested.

Adam, Is this a 2 speed or 3 speed?
It is a 3 speed. It has under drive, direct drive, over drive, and a free neutral. Warford called it the “Super Six”.

Just to be clear, I am not hung up on a cast iron unit, I would consider an aluminum unit.
