Syverson Cabinet Company
Is the Syverson Cabinet Company still around making bodies or parts for their Model T bodies? If so, does anyone have their contact information?
Thank you,
Adam

Re: Syverson Cabinet Company
No Longer in existence
AI Overview
Syverson Cabinet Company was a manufacturer of replacement wood parts, particularly for vintage Model T Fords, located at 2301 Rand Road, Palatine, Illinois. The company was known for its dedication to the Model T and HCCA (HCCA stands for a Horseless Car Club of America). While there's no readily available information about the company's current status, it's known that Mr. Syverson, the owner, passed away before 2003. A forum post about the company indicates that a Syverson Trophy was awarded at a Model T meeting, but it's unclear if this is still a current practice. A document from Northwest Vintage Speedsters lists the company's address and a shop phone number, providing further evidence of its existence and location.

I will check check that tag number for you and tell you the year it was made.
My father Robert Syverson made Model T wood bodies up until 1980, and then I made them up into the mid 1990s. All in all close to 1000 bodies were made starting about 1955. Syverson Cabinet Co. is still in business and still does a bit of T stuff.
The company was first located in Des Plaines, Illinois and then moved out to Palatine, Illinois in the mid 1960s. Last year I sold that Palatine property and moved the shop up near Mundelein, Ill
My dad had moved down to Florida after he stopped working,

Re: Syverson Cabinet Company
With all due respect, Frank - HCCA is the abbreviation for Horseless Carriage Club of America.

Steve,
That section of Frank's post was an "AI overview" so the strange wording and incorrect translation of the HCCA acronym is just part of the game. Our current guidelines at work are to proofread any AI generated text before sending it out, to catch this and many other types of errors.
Personally, I an still not intentionally using any AI, although it is creeping into all of the nooks and crannies of things that we do with computers and such. It's even trying to squeeze itself into pretty simple processes that took little to no time without AI helping. Ahh, the price that we pay for tech advancement.
Keep cranking,
Eric

Re: Syverson Cabinet Company
I didn't "use" AI. I did a simple search and that was the first thing that was returned. It provided an address an some additional information that led to more information and then more information.
So rather than harp on the current inadequacies of AI at this time. The initial question was answered, Syverson Cabinet Company no longer exists
