Early Muffler Brackets
I am in the middle of restoring my 1911 muffler. Are the brackets painted? Black? Or left unfinished? Your expertise is welcomed. AL

Re: Early Muffler Brackets
Brackets are painted, but will burn off even with high heat paint. The muffler is wrapped with asbestos and secured with 3 straps.
