Our dues have been 30 for quite some time. It allows us to underwrite expenses like the newsletter and we also can reimburse some expenses for tour hosts. Donut prices have really gone up.

The Sacramento Valley Club dues have been $25 for many years. They voted to raise to $35 a yaer for 2026 due to increased costs for the meeting room and other expenses.

Our club is $12 individual and $15 for family.
Our club is extremely active, and would be a bargain a 4x the price... (don't tell the treasurer)....

Re: Any club have yearly dues more than $25?
Because of income from being one of the clubs putting on the Portland (Oregon) Swap Meet our dues are the same as they have been from the beginning (1962), $10 a year for family or individual membership.
Except for a few members, our newsletter is now online.

Re: Any club have yearly dues more than $25?
So, what are dues being spent on?
Our club has about 70 members.
We have recurring web site, newsletter and historian (scrap books, photo service)
We reimburse tour hosts for up to 100 for expenses. This ranges from coffee and donuts to event space rental.
We reimburse more for the annual overnighter expenses.
We make donations upon the death of a member.
That’s just off the top of my head.

For now I will just say dues are $50.
I consider that a bit high.

Mark,
In about 1996, RCMTC dues went from $7 to $10.
It almost started a riot...

Re: Any club have yearly dues more than $25?
50 seems high but I would guess the club voted on it. We take in a couple grand in dues and pretty much spend it all. We couldn’t make it on 10-15 dollars. We’d have to have fund raisers that no one wants to do.
Just wondering, the clubs with very low dues, what don’t you do?

Re: Any club have yearly dues more than $25?
The Indy 500 chapter is still $10. A few years ago we got rid of the paper newsletters and mailing them to reduce costs.
Now the newsletters are emailed. Eventually we may go with a Facebook newsletter. We have a private Facebook site for the club pictures and some communications. We have tours once a month during warm weather and in the winter we meet at a restaurant or other venue.
We really don’t have much to spend money on. If we build up an excess, we make a donation to the MTFCA museum.

Re: Any club have yearly dues more than $25?
I would think dues are broken down to what kind of club you are and would vary greatly. Are you a club that meets every month in a location and frequently gets together? Or are you a club that does everything online? I have moved around a bit and tried connecting with a local chapter only to find everything was done online, sort of begs the question "What makes you are local chapter if you don't even have meetings or tours?" One one side I see space rentals, incendentals, ect. On the other I can see a one man operation sending out an email/newsletter and occasionally getting together with friends.
