Unknown Hub Cap Wrench
This morning I went to my pile of hub cap wrench's and found one I'm not familiar with. I assume it's from the mid to late teens. It has an M with a diamond around it, and below that is a P with a circle around it. I'm guessing the P maybe Pruden, but have no idea about the M?

Research is the best way, always learning in that process.
This Chart on the Hub Cap wrench history is helpful when searching swaps for the more correct factory tool set for specific years, yet sure that there was overlap and many different mfg. sourced by Ford to obtain 15 million # 1349 wrenches !
My favorite is the last version, that has the flanges or lugs around the opening for the front axle bearing collar, sure helps to "tune in" that tapered bearing to the race.
This one has mfg mark, found it to be Weston Mott.

Nope. T and TT use the same hub cap wrench, cap hex fits both, the TT cap is larger, but same hex.
There is TT-5893 Wrench, used for cyl. head bolt, spark plug, and the TT rear wheel rim nut. Replaces the std. T-2335 spark plug, cyl. bolt wrench.
The record of change on earlier designs note for rear axle nut. Guess you could as hex is same, but short leverage with that wrench. I use mine for oil pan hex and diff plug hex when on the road carrying factory tool kit.

The axle nut hole is a poor afterthought. Many such wrenches show this to be butchered. There is no way it is actually fit for stated purpose, given the load expected to be applied to the axle nut. It does make a good tool for removing the hex drain plug on the pan though.

I had a four hole aftermarket one which was made of thinner material, therefore each hole had a pressed lip to give a load surface and some strength. It was nickel plated! The manufacturer I recognised, but now I cannot recall that detail. I have an idea that it was Walden-Worcester.

I was lined up at the counter ready to pay for two of the three hole early wrenches at Ford "n' More, { now Model T Ranch} in Spokane, when i counted just 6 flats on the hubcap wrench end. It took me years to find the real deal for my 1912 van toolkit.
