Saw an interesting wrench (spanner) with Ford on it.

Post by JTT3 » Mon Oct 06, 2025 12:35 am

I saw this tool at a friends place, it had the Ford script stamped on the upper part of the handle so i did some research on it. Apparently sometime in 1913-14 time frame Ford used this tool in their service operations. Does anyone have any further documentation on it? Attached is a picture and the only info I could find related to Fords use.

YouTuber Hand Tool Rescue recently reproduced that style of wrench:

John

Interesting for a script on be on a Made in England unusual wrench. Might be a practical tool like a Swiss Knife, doubt it had much application in a Ford shop.

If that script is stamped in, the size is very small, since flourish of the ‘F’ is missing, hard to know if authentic.

For years copies of Ford scripts have been found on many things.

Some tools with Ford stamped on them were for plant use, so they stayed in the plant.
