Pretty much as the title says. I have been cleaning my springs for my 24 roadster pickup build and have been uncovering a LOT of ford script. Some of the smaller springs had one stamping, a a few had two stampings. I got to the main spring on the bottom of the rear stack and uncovered 3 scripts on one leaf!
My question is why? Why so many? I can see one, two maybe, but three on the same piece?
Any ideas?
2 on the ends, and one faint one in the middle...
Not one, not two, but three!

Most likely because the raw bar stock was stamped every (insert number here) inches or feet before it was cut into the required lengths and then arched, etc.

My thoughts also Eric. Thwe rollers were likely made with the Ford imprint, and each time the roller completed a turn, a logo was left to fill the roller imprint.

Larry,
Could those have been spurious or just different years (early or late)?

Yes, a few of my Spring Leaves also had Ford script in block letters too.
Thanks guys, it would make sense that they would have dies that every so often would have a scripting stamp on it. Learn something new everyday!
