Zenith T04 carb in exceptional condition - make an offer
Zero throttle shaft wear
main jet and compensator jet access bolts have a little bit of wrench marks but are not objectionable
fuel coupling has a new retaining bolt (old one had some pliers marks - why on earth do people do that???)
no cracks in brass body
venturi is complete - I doubt it would survive removal and suggest it be left alone
everything including choke spring looks brand new with exception of steel screws which have age-appropriate corrosion that an unmolested carb would be expected to have
Not NOS, but very close. All in all pretty spectacular condition for an early brass carb - still retains its original finish
I bought this for the purpose of documenting replaceable parts and have no further use for it
With proper jets, this can make a significant improvement in performance in a "T" and cost less than the price of a rebuilt NH
NOTE: I no longer make parts for this carb and specifically, I am not a source for jets. This is not a carb to just casually slap on a car - you will need to know what you are getting into with respect to an intake manifold, etc.

Re: Zenith T04 carb in exceptional condition
Other than pushing other people's ads out of sight, what exactly is the point of REPOSTING an old ad and then saying "SOLD"
all you have to do is change your heading to SOLD and that's that - and you don't end up reposting above everyone else's ad.

I'm with you. Its likely because people don't know how to update their post by clicking on the pencil icon to put SOLD in the heading. That action doesn't advance the post

Re: Zenith T04 carb in exceptional condition - make an offer
Scott, I have collected a number of aftermarket carburetors which I hope to be able to try on a running engine before my health prevents me from doing so. A Zenith o4 is one that I don't have, however you stated "that with proper jets" this could make a significant improvement in the performance of a T. That statement makes me question, what would be the "right" jets. Where could I get them. I am not a machinist like you and don't have the capability to make my own.

Re: Zenith T04 carb in exceptional condition - make an offer
Either an adjustable jet or a couple jets larger/smaller than it has now.
Sometimes they run just fine as-is. You never know. I have not had this on a T so I do not know.
I purchased this to make drawings for making adjustable jets for sale. Over the years I have discovered that I couldn't sell adjustable jets for any Zenith, including the popular S4BF, so there was no way I was going to invest time making them for this model.
My expectation for sales was based on Stan Howe's (apparently) very popular adjustable jets that he put on his restorations and offered for sale. My jets, while beautiful, functional, and available, all fell flat on their face. Apparently the consensus is that only Stan was capable of restoring carbs and making parts and no one else is, because I have built up a large supply of parts...boxes and boxes of new parts that I cannot sell and now am no longer interested in even trying.
This is an adjustable needle for a purpose made jet for S4BF and while it won't fit a T04, an adjustable jet for a T04 would look similar:
