Getting a strange log in page...now two

Post by George Andreasen » Sat Jan 19, 2019 7:59 pm

Originally, when I clicked on MTFCA in my favorites, I was taken to a page where I had to select the 2019 forum. Then I could select the forum, classifieds, etc. Suddenly a few days ago, clicking on that page brought up a SECOND page where I had to click on the 2019. That went on for a few days and now a THIRD page pops up, requiring me to select the 2019 forum again. This latest page has a bunch of text (writing) that I didn't make note of.

Bear in mind, I'm already signed in before I open that first page.

In other words, I have to go through three separate screen just to bring up the forum page. It's no big deal I guess, but I'm wondering if MORE sign in pages will appear as days go by.....????

I noticed accessing the forum from the home page is broken.
Did you change the web address from "http://modeltfoldclub ect" to "https://modeltfordclub ect ect".
Apparently the 's' on the end of the http gets rid of errors.

I know the navigation is a little challenging. I’ve experienced the same issues. I’m hoping to help with that over the coming days. Like waiting for a fine wine to mature, patience is a virtue.

In the meantime, here’s a link that will always bring you to the top of the 2019 forums.

If you want to bookmark that, you can’t go wrong.

Just to be clear Jeff........this wasn't a complaint, just making you aware. As for patience, not to worry. I'm retired and don't get paid by the hour anymore....................

Maybe a tech-deficient question, but does it make a difference if we've haven't 'logged out' when we leave the site or shut down our computer? Could that be behind multiple log-ins and index pages? Just a thought.
"Let's Figgur it owt!" Just fix it (right), and make it work.....

Today I had to use the link in Jeff's post at 10:07 on 1/19/19 to log in. Tried to log in last night and this morning like before and it would not let me. All is good now. Just posting for others that may have the same issue.

I wasn't able to log in this morning until I deleted my browsing history, including any saved cookies.

It worked fine after that.
