Just ping from my poor memory, but I believe they had Himico in raised letters. If you search long enough you should be able to find a picture. Model T haven had a very complete engine not too long ago. Good luck, fascinating motors !

Tim, he had a really nice complete one maybe 6-8 years ago, also. I’m still seeing a himico head in my brain. That was a fantastic engine you just got, great buy! I was very tempted.

It appears that you do have the HIMICO high velocity cylinder head on your engine. In the original 8 page sales literature it shows the head, and it has most of the little knobs on the top of the head like yours does. I do not remember ever seeing them on any other accessory head for a Model T Ford. Here are some photos from the sales literature.
I hope that you did not pay too much for the Himico. It only cost $184 when it was new.

Although advertising cuts are notoriously misleading, this one shows some writing on the top of the head, I presume raised letters of HIMICO. It doesn’t make sense they would be so conscious of branding on all their other parts and then not on the head. I guess until one shows itself we will not know for sure. I agree, those raised bumps appear on the cut also. I’m guessing they were core wires or actual casting that was left in place for strength, similar to shoring posts in a coal mine. I’ve seen those in some other aftermarket heads, such as Ricardo . These were made on much smaller scale than ford ever did.
I’m still trying to find a couple simple measurements on a weaver crane, still no luck. Half the fun is the search! When I find a HIMICO branded head, I’ll holler.

The HIMICO motor I had was complete except for the lost shift plate. The head was marked AC.

Doesn't look like the combustion chamber of that head would be any better than a Ricardo, or Giant Power.

I found another piece of HIMICO literature recently that is probably later than the other photos that I posted in August when you bought the HIMICO from Model T Haven. Because this piece has the wide pedals like a stock 1926-27 Model T engine, rather than the narrow paddles like the earlier engines, I think that probably dates it.

I wonder if the complete engine unit that you have is the Heavy Duty HIMICO like the one in the later literature that I posted?
The Heavy Duty type as shown should have 2 inch journals for the connecting rods and main bearings and a gear driven oil pump. It also does not have magnets on the flywheel or a field coil, so it requires a distributor or magneto.
