16 year old Mateo at the wheel, Grandma in back. 'Bout time that boy got his learner's permit.

Re: First drive is in a T
If I ever have to go back and do a driving test, without a doubt, I will take the TT
just to see the look on the tester's face !

doesn't get any better !
This is my goal for my 14 year old - get a drivable Model T, and then give him his first driving lesson in it.

Re: First drive is in a T
I took my "Driver's" test in 1971 in my 1930 Model A Coupe - the Examiner spent more time blowing the Aahooga horn & wolf whistle than paying attention to my driving - I believe I got a 96 or so due to backing up around a corner and being too far off the curb - told him I didn't want to ding my new hub caps !

Re: First drive is in a T
This past summer I posted pics of my 9 and 11 year old grandsons both taking their first drive in our '21 Touring. I think they both gained at least one hat size that day. Papa was sure proud. Our 3 year old was ready to take his turn but we thought it better to wait another year. Now the older two are ready to give the '28 Model A a try.
The 3 year old has already claimed my '55 Studebaker truck for his. Fine with me.

Re: First drive is in a T
I took my driver test in 1962 in my 1926 Model T which I still have. The tester was really surprised

Re: First drive is in a T
I wonder if the tester could have driven it?
