Burger!... We're the ones that talk funny to these fellows. Shoot, I'm a Minnesotan. EVERYONE thinks we talk funny ya know...
Too bad we cannot hear the accents of all of us in our typed sentences.
Really neat photos Dane! I just blew a half hour looking and scrolling.
Welders: I find some close similarities in the radiators and perhaps the engines but the generators are a bit different.
Did the area find a different source of water?
Is the pipeline still being used by chance?
Back to the shop.

Burger, we don't talk funny. The root of the difference is you listen funny. When I tried to order a hamburger with the lot in Spokane, they told me I talked too fast to be understood. I told him he just didn't listen quickly enough!

Yes, the pipeline is still operating. It is still basically the same as when it was built and in many sections still has the original
Pipe. It had a unique Ring Lock System. There are Pumping stations along the 600 Klm route which are now electric
driven not Steam. We live about 30 minutes from Mundaring Weir where it starts. On the drive to Kalgoorlie the pipeline
is visible for a lot of the time as it’s above ground,painted silver and Criss crosses the highway.
Chemicals are injected into the flowing water to
keep it bug free. If they could lower the water temperature a few degrees this wouldn’t be required. Some locations have
taps to access drinking water if stranded in the early days. Alan in Western Australia
