Frontenac OHV Cover Attachment

Post by Howard Tomlinson » Sat Jan 16, 2021 4:20 pm

Hello,

I am working on a Frontenac OHV unit. The head didn't come with the valve cover, so I bought one of the reproductions. I am trying to figure out how the bolt to hold the cover down works. It looks like the cover boss lines up the central head bolt. If you all could provide some examples of how you have configured the actual bolt connection, I would appreciate it.[/url]

Thanks,
Howard

I believe it uses a special head bolt, with a stud coming out of the top of it that goes through the rocker cover.

Yes, special bolt. If you prefer studs to head bolts then a bit long center stud and a couple to take the stud that holds the cover.
