I just got a dash shield and guide for a two piece dash 11-12. Unfortunately the dash shield did not come with the mounting hardware (screws).
I do know that the screws are to be #6 Slotted Round head but what is the length? Thanks

Not so long that they go right through the firewall. No-one will know if you use some thatare a bit shorter than Henry used.

I'm sure someone who has those specifications will post it. Regardless of the length, I would suggest you drill the holes and "thread" the wood using a matching thread steel Phillips head screw before you put in the slotted French head brass screw.
Those fancy brass screws have a tendency to twist in two. Don't ask me how I know.

Keith, I hear you on that one. I had it happen to a #8 oval hood former screw. It was a chore to remove it.

Years ago an old timer told me to soap wood screws to ease their passage into the wood. Is anyone doing this now? Do they come loose more easily?

Dad's trick was to scrape the woodscrew threads across a piece of Bee's Wax!

I have used the soap and bee's wax trick for years! My grandfather always had a small bar of soap in his toolbox and he would drill a hole in the wooden handle of his hammer and put bee's wax in it so as to always have it on hand!

I just ran the No. 9 brass wood screws into the dash to hold the horn. It was hard going in dry, I had forgotten the old wisdom. Oh well, next time!
