11 hubcaps
I plan to attend a swap meet Sunday at Gateway by St. Louis. Can someone post pictures of the correct hubcaps for a late Oct 11 Touring? Thanks, Art

Re: 11 hubcaps
Royce has a whole series of articles on details of the 1911 and 1912 model years on his forum.

Re: 11 hubcaps
Lets see if this works! I pirated this little bit-a info off the encyclopedia for you to get you started.
July 13, 1911 The top surface is now flat with a thin rim around the outer edge (the name area is recessed) with the standard "Ford" script. The background is oxidized. This style is typical of late 1911 and most of 1912.
July 13, 1911. Note the recessed top surface with the thin "rim" around the top. [/size]

Re: 11 hubcaps
Art-
These are the hubcaps that Tim is talking about:
I have a set of these for my Oct-Nov 1911. The background will be black oxidized, not painted.
If you look at original photos from the era it is hard to identify what type are on the cars. I have seen many late 1911s (like Phil Mino's) that have the early 1911 style hubcap.
You mileage may vary.

Re: 11 hubcaps
Art, did you find your hubcaps? I talked to Forrest at the swap meet and he told me you came by.
