Re: Winfield Model N parts
Early production model N carbs used a model M style bowl, later used a S style bowl

Re: Winfield Model N parts
Pretty sure the Model N cover is larger than the Model M cover. Just went thru this with Rene. The Model M covers are 2 3/4" across the wider mounting screw spacing. This cover is wider than that. Just FYI. Tied to call Winfield, but one answered...............

The N model cover looks very similar to the the M model but the N model cover is larger

Re: Winfield Model N parts
Here’s a page from the 1930 Winfield catalog showing the S style bowl. Don’t have any documentation showing the M style bowl, but here an old thread about the model N carbs, where both styles are discussed

Re: Winfield Model N parts
Checked today- the MODEL N cover screw spacing on the two screws closest to the throttle body measures 2 7/8" where the Model M covers screws are spaced 2 3/4" apart. Side by side, the two are noticeably different.

Re: Winfield Model N parts
Good to know mine is the "later" style. Seems these carbs are barely big enough for a T....

Re: Winfield Model N parts
Model N's were more like overkill for T. They were big carbs.
